Predictably quiet early session on patch, with wildfowl numbers as expected (although once again the WR is proving increasingly attractive) and Coot numbers much lower than of late. A steady passage of Black-headed Gulls from first light, coming in from the north-east and moving south-west, numbered at least 1500, a high count for the site. A male Teal and a Water Rail (both at the ER) provided a little seasonal interest.
